Week 4
Darkroom Apprentice Journeyman Master Vectors PSP8 PSP8 - Moving Up Butterfly Bark Painting

Terry Grogan

This week's assignment deals with Vectors. That's a bit of a review for me, as I've completed the Vectors I class and am currently enrolled in the Vectors II class. I enjoyed taking the time to play.

Here are some "fishies" that show alignment and distribution.  The red fish are aligned Horizontal, Center and distributed Vertical Top.  The white fish are aligned center of canvas and distributed evenly spaced, vertically. The blue fish are aligned right and distributed vertical bottom.

This image contains two vector shapes - an ellipse and a Mickey Mouse head. The ellipse is deformed to give it a bit of a sideways look. I filled it with a grey gradient to look like a mirror.  Of course, Mickey's "reflection" is a distortion of the normal looking face on the left.

Here's frog showing a distorted "reflection" of himself in water. The "lilly pad" pad he is sitting on was an octagon that I node edited and distorted.

Here's a "seahorse" I drew with the freehand tool.

Here's the same image after some node editing. I also added the black lines with the freehand tool.
