Here are two pictures I got from FREEIMAGES. These are shown here smaller than they actually are. The first thing I did was use manual color correction on the falls. I wanted to darken it a bit to look like dusk so I used a preset under "Manual Color Correction" called "Water - generic".  I then selected around the sky and trees using the freehand selection tool.  I added a new layer, highlighted that layer, copied the fireworks, then pasted them into the selection.  I changed the layer blend mode to Screen with an opacity of 95%.

This is the result, shown at actual size. I didn't have to worry that the fireworks image wasn't as wide as the falls image because fireworks can really be any size.
