Well, this was a fun week as well! I could have just
played and played! I figured I better stop and post something, or
this page would really get big, lol. |
|
For the gradient tube, I followed the directions in the
lesson, except I used my own colors rather than the black and white.
Here's the result. I like the colors.

|
|
For the star shape, I followed the lesson and flood filled
with my own gradient. Here are my initials using it as a tube. I like this
a well.

|
|
Ok, now I get to have fun with some experimenting.
First, here's a vector shape I drew - just a simple butterfly out of two
ellipses. I saved this as a shape in my shapes folder.

|
|
Now a composite using the gradient, star shape, and
butterfly. I flood filled with another gradient. Two of the butterflies
are "retain style", but the one on the left was done with my "psychedelic"
gradient from the previous week:

Well, here are some more shapes. I have to admit that I'm
also in the Vectors I class, so I'm not as afraid of vectors as I was 4 weeks
ago, lol. First, a new shape that I converted to a tube the same as the
instructions:

|
|
Here's a drawing with it. I thought it looked like a
chinese dragon (the New Year's kind), so I added a tube head I already had to
this.

|
|
Here's another drawing I did using a fish (I use the term
loosely) I created out of triangles and ellipses. Only the center
one is set to retain shape, the others are either filled with a pattern or
gradient. I used my gradient tube to make the "pebbles" on the
bottom. The bubbles are a tube I had collected previously.
