Yep, yep. Definitely had fun with this week's lesson! I got carried
away with some of this, but enjoyed myself. I admit I've never
played with most of the stuff we covered this week (guess that will
change!). Also, know I know how some of these people who post
tutorials get the pictures of the colors they use. On to the lesson..... |
|
Colors and Color Depth |
Here's my tiger - in all
his 24 bit color glory |
 Now here he is at
256 colors. On this picture it actually doesn't look bad. |
 Uh oh. At 16
colors he's looking a bit sad. |
 Yikes! At 6 colors he
definitely has problems! |
|
Palettes |

Here's my tiger using the "Rose Petals" palette. I like the effect!
Now to make my own...... |
|
I'm starting with this lovely photo, an image done by one of my favorite
artists, Thomas Kinkade.
|
 Decreasing the colors
to 256 gives me this palette.. very nice. |
 After using Gaussian blur set
at 25 and reducing the colors to 6, I get this.
Which gives me this for a palette bar..

(Yuck - looks like camouflage) |
Of course, if it looks like camouflage...

forgive my poor looking "helmet" I'm still learning vectors, lol.
