This was a fun week, but a lot of work! I found modifying pictures
manually takes a lot of time, and a lot of practice. (at least for
me). I found myself "overcorrecting" the pictures -
making lots of modifications to each layer over and over again. I'm
sure that will change as I get more practice (I hope!). At first, I
thought "Why am I doing this when both PSP and PA have such good auto
correction features? However, with my second photo, I got my answer.
I didn't want this picture to look "right" I wanted to achieve a certain
effect. While I didn't get exactly what I wanted, I came pretty
close. |
 Here's a picture I
took of my crazy husband during our big snowfall a few weeks ago (we got
30"). He didn't shovel all the snow dressed like this! Lots of blue
in this picture, and too dark. |
 Here's the modified
picture. I remove a lot of the blue and brightened it a bit. I still think
it's missing something, not sure what (too much red?).

 There's nothing
really wrong with this picture. It came out pretty decent, straight
from the camera. However, I wanted to make it richer looking and
contrast the cat against the furniture. |
 Here's the picture,
modified. Again, not exactly what I was looking for, but as I
"messed" with it too much, I either got too much yellow in it, or too much
red.
