Week 3
Terry's World U.S. Army Photo Album Guestbook Videos Digital Photo PaintShop Pro PhotoShop PhotoShop II

Terry Grogan

Another fun week has gone by. I've learned a few more things about Photoshop. I do find Photoshop easier to use when it comes to duplicating (on the same canvas) an image. I also really like the history palette and how easy it is to go back to a particular step - just click on the step you want to be back to and voila! you're there!!

I don't like the layer palette. You can't tell what special blend modes or opacity you've set a layer on without clicking on that layer. PSP does a much nicer job laying out the layer palette, in my opinion.

Here's my flower after playing with color, hue, saturation - I like purple and pink - that will be painfully obvious as the weeks progress, heehee.

Ok, here's my airbrush flower and frame - all with airbrushes only. You didn't explain how you made the frame in your example, so I just did a selection and airbrushed inside it for my frame. (Notice the purple/pink again?)

Ok, you asked for it - my drawing. You'll see that everything is on a different layer. Some of the things I did differently - I changed the opacity on my clouds to make them blend in; I changed the blend mode to darken on the birds and dog so the color looked better; I did the same with a few of the trees so they would be a bit darker in the background; For the kids clothes I filled them with color, added another layer with another color, the set the blend mode on that color to dissolve and lowered the opacity so the bottom color bled through.
