This was a lot of fun. I really liked getting so much
practice in on selections - it's something I use a lot. The thing I love
the best is the magnetic lasso - that will come in very handy. I liked
that I didn't need to hold the mouse down or click the mouse. Clicking
the mouse made it easier to continue the path around a corner. The thing
I hate - not having a paint on selection like PaintShop Pro. I use the
paint on selection heavily, especially with complex pictures. Great
lesson! |
|
As I did the lessons, there were
instructions along the way to post what we did "along with the rest of
our homework" so that's what these are. |
 Here
are some shapes which I then moved around with different background
colors.
|

Here, I moved the shapes with multiple shapes selected.
|
 I
used different selection tools and added to each selection then colored
it it in.
|

This was an ellipse selection that I then used other ellipse selections
to remove pieces from. |
|
Homework assignment 1
Shapes - ellipse, rectangle, lasso -
filled in with different brushes - feather set on the rectangle.
 |
|
Homework assignment 2
Original picture on left. Right image
shows the blue ellipse removed with tolerance set to 10. I noticed at
that tolerance it didn't remove the entire ellipse - you can still see a
shadow.

Homework assignment 3
Original picture on the left (this one is
me as a kid). The magnetic lasso is pretty cool. I would need to touch
this up if I really wanted a quality tube, but it goes a long way to
getting you started. I love it!

Homework assignments 4 and 7
I'm glad you didn't need me to be an
artist! The image on the left was created with shapes - ellipse,
rectangle, lasso. The were all filled using Alt-Bksp or Ctrl-Bksp. I
then selected pieces of them and moved them, using different colors for
the backgrounds.

Homework assignment 5
Multiple shapes selected - screen shot.

Homework assignment 6
Adding to the previous assignment - I then
filled it in with a white background and brushes.
