Terry Grogan

This is the picture of "Tracy" with her teeth whitened, from the lesson.

I don't have a lot of pictures with teeth that need whitening. So, yesterday I asked my husband to pose for a closeup (I didn't tell him why, lol). He's a smoker, so his teeth need some help. Rather than find a second "teeth" picture, I decided to take another of my underwater "throw aways" and whiten some of the coral. You can click on these pictures for a larger image.

Ok, here's the part of the class I hated this week. My picture looks NOTHING like the example. I added some trees, just with normal brushes. Same for the house, though the windows and doors are on different layers. The path is with a brush that I smudged. I tried to give a "purple/orange" hue to the sky on the right by using two different shades of color, smudging, then blending with a hue overlay and lowering the opacity. The bird in the sky (yes, that's what that is) is painted with the behind brush. Does seem to make it blend into the sky better. The "flower field" is airbrushed in with yellow, white and red. This is NOT something I will ever be using Photoshop for in the future.
